Dr. A. Jayaprakash

Dr Jayaprakash A. completed his primary medical training from Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai. He worked as chief medical officer in the Department of Emergency Medicine, Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre for one year. It was during this time that he found his true calling in Orthopedics and Trauma care. He went on to do his M.S Orthopedics at Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai. After completing his M.S, he worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedics at Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital for a period of 6months. Following this, he joined Aster Medcity, Kochi as Specialist, Department of Orthopedics, for two years. It was during this time that he received training in Arthroscopy and Orthopedic Oncology. Apart from this, he has a special interest in Spine surgery and Pediatric Orthopedics and has worked with Dr Gopinath Menon and Dr Benjamin Joseph, both authorities in the field of Pediatric Orthopedics. He is currently working at Apollo Speciality Hospital, Vanagaram, Chennai. He is a member of the TamilNadu Association of Orthopedic Surgeons and regularly attends national and international conferences. He has also published articles in both national and international journals. He is passionate about health and fitness and is an advocate of regular exercise and healthy eating to maintain a healthy body and mind. Most of all, he believes that non-surgical pain management has a huge role to play in rehabilitating patients with chronic pain, and that surgery should only be offered when absolutely necessary.
