Dr Shilpa Somasekharan Menon. MBBS, M.D, D.M (Cardiology), completed her M.B.B.S from Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai, with distinction. She realised her love for the art of clinical Diagnosis during her preliminary training and went on to pursue her M.D in General Medicine at Sri Ramachandra University.

Cardiology had been a passion of hers since very early on in her medical training and she went on to do D.M in Cardiology at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi. Her special areas of interest in Cardiology are Heart Disease in Women, Heart Failure, Cardiomyopathies and Cardiac imaging. She is currently working at SIMS Hospital,Vadapalani as Consultant in the Department of Cardiology. She is also a visiting Consultant at Maya Nursing Home, Ashok Nagar.

She has attended and participated in various national and international conferences and presented research papers at Some of them. She has also published research articles in national and international journals.

She is a member of the Cardiology Society of India and Indian Association for Cardiac Imaging and regularly attends state and national meetings for the same.

She is passionate about raising public health awareness and has conducted various corporate Health talks for IT professionals. Bringing affordable, evidence based medical care to all is her goal.
